Surgery in Anderson House

These were the tools of the trade for army surgeons during the Civil War, It is doubtful that the confederates had anything this good. The Union medical officers working in Anderson House most likely did.Click on this image to enlarge. This bedroom served as a surgery during the battle. It was on the east side of the house, and frankly wasn't in a great spot. There are bullet holes in the walls and a grape shot in one of the door moldings.
